Gustavo & Ginwoo 2nd and 3rd place at the World Champ

Great weekend for JART at the Skateboarding World Championship in Dubai. Our skaters battled hard for the win and for getting points for Paris 2024 Olympic qualification. Our youngest rider Ginwoo Onodera was the biggest surprise beating some of the best pro riders making it 1st at the semi-finals and ending 3rd after legend Gustavo Ribeiro who was finally 2nd. In the women’s, our rider Gabriela Mazetto got the 6th place showing some amazing energy.

Big congrats team!!!!

What a weekend for our JART Riders!

We are super proud to say that Manny Santiago, Ginwoo Onodera, Alain Kortabitarte and Naia Laso have won different skateboard contests across the globe this weekend.

The always-positive Manny Santiago won the Gold Medal in the first-ever Central American and Caribbean Games, in the Street Skate modality. The championship was held in Santa Marta, Colombia, where the crowd witnessed a great fellowship among the skaters.

Little Ginwoo, on the other hand, just became Japan’s youngest National Skateboarding Champion ever! The twelve-year star skated his way to the Finals where he executed all the tricks he had planned to. In a short interview he gave just after winning the Gold Medal, he stated that he ‘wants to become a skateboarding star’. And we’re sure that he will succeed.

Lastly, our young riders Alain Kortabitarte and Naia Laso have won the bowl modality of the Spanish National Circuit contest, held in Malaga, Spain. Both riders have taken the gold medal home with very consistent lines and scores way higher than the silver medalists.

We’re more than stoked to see our young riders’ progression skyrocketing as we know that they’ll be representing JART in the biggest contests in the near future.

Ginwoo 2nd Place at TAMPA AM

What an amazing week! The 28th edition of the annual proving ground for amateur skaters TAMPA AM, has been a great opportunity for new talents to show what they are capable of.

Our youngest and Japanese rider Ginwoo Onodera made it 2nd, being the crowd’s favorite from day one. After a perfect run landing absolutely every trick at the Qualifiers, he passed in 1st position straight to the finals where he fought until the very end. Even if he did not complete an entire line in the finals, he managed to land some bangers with his tiny Jart Classic 7.375” Deck, that took the crowd to their feet. Gin went for an unbeatable but risky run to secure the 1st place, but sadly he didn’t manage to beat Daiki Ikeda. This is just the beginning. Future looks bright for this little legend.

JART riders Max Berguin and Jonas Carlsson also did some great rounds getting to the semi-finals, but couldn’t make it any further.

Our special thanks go to Brian Schaefer and Paul Zitzer for making this happen.

Gustavo Ribeiro SLS Super Crown 2022 Champion

The most prestigious skateboarding contest in the world has a new champion since yesterday, November 6th.

After winning the previous SLS date in Las Vegas, our young JART rider Gustavo Ribeiro became the SLS Super Crown world champion thanks to his technical bag of tricks and smart decision-making during the competition.

In fact, we had the best final of all times. Saving the best for last, the 2017 Tampa AM Champion got himself in the skateboard history book in Rio de Janeiro becoming the first European to win the SLS Super Crown.

After being in the lead for most of the competition Gustavo secured the win with a trademark nosegrind nollie flip out, taking the gold from the rookie Braden Hoban, who got the night’s highest score. Anyways, Ribeiro’s consistency prevailed, and we can proudly say that he got the well-deserved 2022 SLS Super Crown champion trophy.

However, Ribeiro was not the only JART rider to do a great job yesterday. Gabriella Mazetto, playing at home, got herself a spot in the Women’s Final after showing her Brazilian crowd her clean skateboarding.

Get the Jart Anime Play 8.0″ Gustavo Ribeiro Deck that made Ribeiro win the SLS Super Crown before it’s too late.

ADRIEN BULARD WINS the MYSTIC CUP STREET 2022 and TOM MARTIN WINS the FRENCH BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP 2022

Adrien Bulard is the new Street winner of the 27th edition of the Mystic Cup!

The globally renowned Skate competition took place during the weekend of 25th-26th of June in Prague, Czech Republic, and congregated hundreds of people who enjoyed of music concerts, great street food and hours of skateboarding.

The 30 best skaters from Saturday participated in the semi-final on Sunday after midday, where JART riders Angelo Caro and Alex Decunha participated too.

Adrien brought the crowd and the judges to their feet with a huge 360 flip and a very consistent 1 minute line in the semifinals, which took him straight to the finals where Angelo and Alex participated too.

The win was not decided until the last second when Adrien took it from Jake Ilardi and Matias Dell Ollio with a monster Flip to BS Lipslide in a rail and a Bigspin Flip FS Boardslide in another rail. This also gave him the deserved 1st position in the Best Trick challenge. Apart from Adrien’s win of the tournament, Angelo Caro ended 6thin the final and Alex Decunha 10th.

However, Adrien’s was not the only win of a JART rider this weekend. Our 13 years young Tom Martin has become the winner of the French Bowl Championship 2022 in Marseille, establishing himself as a key player in the French skateboarding scene.

ADRIEN BULARD - Hollywood 16 Mission

ADRIEN BULARD - Hollywood 16 mission

It was a sunny Saturday in February 2018 and we had arranged to meet Bryce Pagter (the filmer) to go to Hollywood. The crew with us was Gustavo RibeiroCarlos Zarazua, Jorge Simoes, Joe Ordóñez, Alex Braza and Adrien Bulard. First, we went to the famous stairs, but the crew was not ready for that spot yet, so we decided to go to a nearby school and record some lines.

After warming up skateboarding and filming a bit at the school we returned to the stairs. As always, Adrien still didn’t know what he wanted to try, but he finally settled on back tail shov-it. Last year we had been on tour and he back tailed, but this year he wanted a NBD at the 16 in Hollywood.

After a few minutes looking at the rail, he got down to it and after some crazy slams he got up, something that not everybody would dare to do. With this trick, Adrien contributed to the history of world skateboarding.

Fun Fact: the next day we went to EL TORO and he back tailed the famous rail.

Demo at PDG

DEMO AT PDG

During our last tour in Lisbon, Portugal, the Jart team gived a demo in the famous PDG skatepark. Home of the POP Skateshops guys, very good friends and customers. Located in Estoril, the PDG is one of the best Portuguese skateparks, with all kind of spots. That day the skatepark was crowded and we shared the demo skating with the locals.

PDG skatepark, is also known for been the local skatepark of Gustavo Ribeiro, and we could check it. Almost all the tricks where first tries!
Stay hyped with the demo video, soon we will skateboard all together again!

ANGELO CARO - Welcome to the family

ANGELO CARO - Welcome to the family

The Jart team is proud to welcome Angelo Caro as its new rider. The Peruvian ripper has been killing it this last few years, winning big competitions like The Mystic Cup, entering into the finals of the Tampa Am and Pro and finishing in second place at the best trick contest, as well as having great results at the SLS, like his 7th place in Sao Paulo.

Besides his impressive competition skills, Angelo is a street killer, terrorizing big rails in his way with a great and solid style, lots of power and speed, plus a big bag of tricks and more important than that, a very friendly and smiley mood. He joined the Jart team in the last tour and quickly became one more of the crew.

All the team mates were hyped with his skateboarding, he is a beast!
