ANGELO CARO - 30 Tricks Over 30 Pro Boards

Angelo Caro is now part of the JART Skateboards PRO Team. To show his new PRO MODELS, he travelled to LA and visited The Berrics. What a better way to show his PRO models, than recording 30 tricks over 30 PRO NAZCA line boards, while he signes the boards.

ANGELO CARO - Welcome to our Jart PRO Team

Despite living in a difficult situation, if you really want something, you find the time for what really motivates you. This is what Angelo Caro has been doing for almost two years. Effort, perseverance and with the aim of improving himself and learning something new every day.

And every effort has its reward. And that is how today, finally, we can say: congrats ANGELO CARO, welcome to our JART PRO TEAM!

Our 22-year-old Peruvian skateboarder is making history. It all started when he was 10 years old and his brother lent him a skateboard. Since that day, he hasn’t stopped skateboarding. We could say he spends more time skateboarding than walking.

As Angelo points out, it’s not about having years of experience to be the best, it’s about being consistent and striving to learn something new every day. It’s about motivation and loving what you do.

This 2021, it has come loaded with well-deserved awards. Gold medal in the Madrid Urban Sports. Participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, obtaining the 5th position. And he recently won the silver medal at the Junior Panamerican Games. His next goal? Paris 2024 and get the gold medal.

Now, we want to present his 2 new PRO MODELS, designed in honor to his country, Peru:

GINWOO ONODERA makes history at Tampa AM 2021

What a crazy weekend we’ve had at the TAMPA AM 2021 skateboard contest!

250 amateur skaters met up at the Skatepark of Tampa over the weekend for the 27th edition of the TAMPA AM contest with the aim of becoming the most recognised amateur skater of the year. Shout-out to Yukito Aoki, who won 1st place with an incredible final run.

JART riders Alex Decunha and Ginwoo Onodera took part in the contest, which turned out to be the edition of the TAMPA AM with the highest skateboarding level in history. And history is what Ginwoo made! He became the youngest skater ever to make it to the TAMPA AM finals with only 11 years of age, qualifying in 2nd place at the semi-finals and getting a 7th place at the finals.

After 4 videos about Ginwoo were posted on The Berrics over the last 2 months, this was Ginwoo’s first appearance to the public, who have been able to watch him skate live for the first time in a major contest. Ginwoo’s unique style and signature flip-in flip-out bluntslides won him the public’s heart, who celebrated every trick from the qualifiers to the final.

The variety of tricks landed with his tiny JART Classic 7.25” Deck was unreal and made him become the crowd’s favourite. Even the judges showed their amazement at Gin’s consistency and level of concentration, unusual for a person of his age.

Nothing found.

In fact, Ginwoo’s performance won him the Zumiez Destroyer Award, that he received while Paul Zitzer expressed that “this kid never stopped, he went on and on”. These words made the people who had congregated at the Skatepark of Tampa cheer and applaud, and it became obvious that Ginwoo’s introduction to the world will be remembered for a long time.

From JART Skateboards we want to thank Brian Schaefer and Paul Zitzer for making this contest possible.

GUSTAVO RIBEIRO - SLS Super Crown Championship

Hope you didn’t miss the SLS Super Crown Championship. Still freaking out! What a madness!

Our rider Gustavo Ribeiro excelled in the championship held in Jacksonville this past weekend. A super-fought final with high-scoring stunts. On Sunday 8 skaters participated. And only 4 of them opted for a place on the podium.

Ribeiro shined with a biggerspin flip to fs boardslide and 360 kickflip to crooked grind. In the last round, he made two attempts to bs crooked grind down the double kink rail to nollie kickflip out, but eventually he failed.

Gustavo finally got the 3rd place, out of 21 participants, on an epic Super Crown Final. Being in the first place Jagger Eaton with 27.5, in second place the brazilian Lucas Rabelo who scored 27.3 and in fourth position Nyjah Huston.

Congrats to all participants, keep rocking!

Ginwoo Onodera, our 11-years-old japanese rider, is evolving in his career as a skateboarder in such a way that people are freaking out and they still don’t know how he does it.

Ginwoo travelled to LA to skate The Berrics, and one more time, he killed it. What he was able to do in 3 hours, is beyond anyone’s comprehension. In the video shared by The Berrics you can see all the attempts he made, showing his extreme perseverance and consistency.

Ginwoo has deffo lot to show and teach to past and future skaters. We are all stocked!

GUSTAVO RIBEIRO - Winner of SLS

GUSTAVO RIBEIRO - Wins the SLS

After trying it for 2 years, and won a silver medal in London (2018) and a bronze one in Sao Paulo (2019), our goofy-footed rider Gustavo Ribeiro, has finally won his first SLS in Salt Lake city, leaving Nyjah Huston in second place.

During the competition, he kept super foccused following his own strategy and made several outstanding skate trick combos. He shone in every single trick and finally closed the competition with a 360 flip to frontside noseblunt slide on a huge handrail. The pressure of the final of the competition was heavy. The competition area was full of people and the support Gustavo receive from the viewers was insane. Gustavo was the penultimate participating and until Nyjah, the last one, landed and missed the trick, it was not known who was going to win the SLS. Finally, our portuguese rider did it, and he has become the first European skater winning the SLS.

Nyjah after participating in the Olympics, wanted to get rid of the thorn and win the SLS, but Gustavo outdid himself and left Nyjah in second place.

Last June and just 2 months before Olympics, Ribeiro battled a should injury and nothing has been easy for him during the recovery. It’s all about perseverance and about foccusing on your goals and dreams. As he highlights with a post on Instagram: “I remember me as a kid watching SLS and dreaming that one day I would be there! One of my biggest dreams came true and I couldn’t be more thankful!“.

ANGELO CARO - Field day

ANGELO CARO - Field Day

Meet the Peruvian skateboarder, qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.
What is a normal day of a professional skateboarder like? A camera accompanied our amateur skateboarder Angelo Caro for a full day and we got a closer look at what the main representative of Peruvian skateboarding does.
He gets up early, walks his pets and has a training session with the Federation at the skatepark of the Special Legacy Project in Costa Verde. The modality in which he skates is street skateboarding.

Caro qualified for Tokyo at the beginning of June. He is the last Peruvian National Champion (2020) and has been the first Pan-American Champion (Colombia 2017). His best streak was in 2019 when he conquered Europe, winning three consecutive international events in Czech Republic, Spain and England.

Unfortunately due to the pandemic, he has almost not been able to compete in 2020. However, in recent months he has been carrying out an arduous training role with his Federation, which has allowed him to grab competitive rhythm again.
He is currently ranked 16th in the World Ranking, a position that earned her a place in Tokyo.

In these episode, Gustavo challenges Danny Leon and Vincent Milou in the Basque Country. Visits and skates the best spots where to challenge his heroes. And as a mandatory stop for every skater when they travel to Basque Country, Gustavo visits the JART Skateboards factory accompanied by Iban Iraola, one of the 3 Iraola brothers that created HLC Distribution company, the current leading company in Europe’s skateboarding market and one of the Top 3 on an international level.

It’s not only about skating, seems that Gustavo likes cooking and due to his strong muscles, breaks a wall playing the typical Basque Country game “pelota a mano”.

MARK FRÖLICH - "One for the homies"

MARK FRÖLICH - "ONE FOR THE HOMIES"

Mark Frölich, one of our JART Skateboards PRO team rider, has recorded “One for the homies” dedicated to all his friends. He has shared a bit about his new part, and these are his words:

“One for the homies” – goes out to all my friends around the world. My skateboarding-path has given me the chance to meet people from many different places and cultures. I feel very fortunate for the friendships that it has brought me and even more so for all the support that my friends have given me over the years. It is fair to say that nothing in my (skate) life would be the same without them. They have also helped me with many video-projects in the past (with this one as well) which made the decision to dedicate them this video really easy.

There is nothing better than having a motivated gang around – thanks for everything homeboys – and girls – this one is for all of you!

BULARD & GARBACCIO - Kings of my castle

KINGS OF MY CASTLE

Our riders Adrien Bulard & Joseph Garbaccio have made a video for a skate school.

Clever School, a group and organization of artists that focuses on the production of videos in the field of extreme sports, has worked this time with the production of a video with three French skaters of which two of them are our JART Skateboards riders.

The place where this video was shot was found by chance. They didn’t have much time so they had to film it in one day. Tricks in narrow corridors, windows, skating in an empty pool with a ramp… everything that was there, plus the material the team had brought, ended up with the result of this video.

WATCH IT NOW!

ALEX DECUNHA - Krux Trucks

Did you see the part published last September by Krux Trucks with our rider Alex Decunha? His part freaked us out.

Quick feet man, you’ll need slowmo effect to catch out every single trick. Most of the tricks capped off with a kickflip.

It’s now when he shows the reality of the recorded video in September, with the raw video you have to go through to film a full part.
